The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) has recently introduced the BlueSteps® Database: a database of over 50,500 executive profiles and resumes accessible to executive search firms who are members of the AESC. The career service was put in place to provide an opportunity for executives to network with and increase their exposure to retained search consultants.

The database is constantly growing and expanding, receiving approximately 500-1000 new members monthly. The average member is a C-level executive (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO, CTO) with ten plus years experience. Profiles span a variety of industries, with manufacturing, finance, and information technology at the forefront. The program is worldwide; however, the majority of profiles (70%) yield from North, South, and Central America. 23% of profiles are from executives based in Europe, and 7% from Asia.

By using the Executive Locator, search firms registered with the AESC may search the BlueSteps database for profiles. The locator allows the search firm to break the profiles down: searching for specific details that meet their search needs, including geography (past, present, future), compensation range, and industry experience.

For an annual fee, qualified applicants may submit their resumes to the BlueSteps database, greatly enhancing their exposure to quality retained search consultants who are members of the AESC.
